Trident Controls are specialists in the design, manufacturing and commissioning of Electrical Control Panels for all industries.

Our control panels are designed, manufactured and tested in our workshop in Naas, Co Kildare and help our clients manage their manufacturing processes, improve safety standards and reduce energy consumption.

In 2024, Trident Controls launched a sustainability consultancy service. Our in-house Sustainability Consultant works with clients across all industries helping our clients to create their sustainability statements, define their SMART sustainability goals in line with UN SDG's as well as creating a robust and well defined Implementation plan for their Sustainabilty goals

We strive to provide our clients, architects and fellow Electrical and Mechanical Engineers with innovative solutions which we build to the highest safety,electrical and industrial specifications in our workshop in Co. Kildare.

We are also members of Safe Electric in Ireland who are Safe Electric is responsible for the regulation of the activities of electrical contractors in the Republic of Ireland with respect to safety.

Trident Controls provides an electrical maintenance, testing and consultancy services as an additional support to all clients on a short or long-term contract basis. We can provide remote support or on site support and maintenance services to meet your immediate needs and help you achieve future goals. Our remote support software ensures that we can connect to our control panels remotely, diagnosing issues quickly which  ensures our valued clients do not have unnecessary downtime. 

Our energy monitoring service can identify issues with the quality of incoming energy, potential maintenance issues with machinery parts and also identifies areas for energy saving which is a priority for all businesses. 

Our fully qualified team are regularly trained and re-tested to ensure Trident Controls remains the industry leader in the field of Electrical Control Panel design, manufacture, commissioning and ongoing support.

Lorraine O'Brien

Patrick McNamara is a founding director of Trident Controls Limited. Patrick is a qualified Electrician with over 25 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering. Patrick completed his apprenticeship at TU Dublin. Patrick is an expert in electrical process design and automation and works with our clients on complex projects from initial design right down to the commissioning phase of the project lifecycle.

Patrick has a keen interest in the Agricultural sector in Ireland. He has also completed the Green Cert programme with Teagasc and is an expert in Electrical engineering projects for the Agricultural and farming sector. He has designed, manufactured and installed complex control panels for agricultural projects such as milking parlours, lighting projects etc. See our case study section for more information on agricultural projects Patrick has completed.

Lorraine joined the Trident Controls Team in 2018 as Business Manager and more recently has taken on the role of our Sustainability Leader. In her role, Lorraine is responsible for business operations in Trident Controls as well as overseeing our Sustainability Consultancy Service.

Prior to joining Trident Controls, Lorraine worked in Citibank Europe Plc’s, Treasury and Trade Team for 16 years in a range of roles including the EMEA Head of the Commercial Card Implementation Team, Senior Project Manager, EMEA Business Manager amongst other roles. Lorraine is an expert in managing complex global projects and large multi country teams.

Lorraine holds a B.Sc. in Management & Marketing from TU Dublin, a Post Grad Diploma in Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland and a Cert in International Cash Management (Cert ICM) from the UK ACT (Association of Corporate Treasurers).

In 2023, Lorraine successfully completed the Post Grad in Climate Entrepreneurship in Trinity College Dublin as well as becoming a Sustainability Leader with the Climate Ready Academy. Lorraine is passionate about helping SME's in Ireland identifying and reducing their carbon footprint and provides a consultancy service to our clients. Patrick MacNamara

Patrick McNamara is a founding director of Trident Controls Limited. Patrick is a qualified Electrician with over 25 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering. Patrick trained at DIT Bolton Street. Patrick is an expert in electrical automation and works with our clients on complex automation projects in all stages of the project lifecycle.

Lorraine O'Brien

Lorraine joined the Trident Controls Team in 2018 as Business Manager. In her role, Lorraine is responsible for the day to day running of our office as well as our newly established online shop.
